Meet Lee Brovitz

Grammy Nominated Recording Artist

Lee Brovitz is a world class bassist, Grammy nominated record producer and singer/songwriter. Best known for his celebrity with “Blue Angel” (Cyndi Lauper), the legendary “Tommy Roe”, Grammy nominated “Gema Pearl” and Michael Clarke’s “The Byrds” along with his work as a “hired gun” for dozens of major label artists, Lee Brovitz is a recording artist in his own right.

Retrorocker Lee Brovitz made his mark in the early 80’s in the NYC “new wave” scene with “Cyndi Lauper and Blue Angel” signing with Polydor Records. In 1987, he reinvented “The Shadows of Knight”, owned the trademark, wrote and produced “A Knight To Remember”, “Rock’n’Roll Survivors” and “Gloria (Revisited)”. During the following two decades, he became bassist and musical director for package shows with a bevy of heritage rock artists. Lee also toured and recorded with the legendary “Tommy Roe”, “Jimi Jamison” (Survivor), “Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone”, and “Jay & the Techniques”. “Wrecking Crew” bassist Joe Osborne endorsed Lee for his bass stylings. Lee then discovered powerhouse vocalist “Gema Pearl”. Together, they released 5 albums and 7 singles on SouthStar Records. “Gema Pearl” earned four first-round Grammy nominations.

Lee’s first solo album, “Bassed On A True Story” was fourteen song oeuvre of his signature jangle pop tunes and heart touching ballads, including a song written for his mother’s passing “I Stand Alone” and a tribute to his father, “Big Shoes To Fill”. With vestige from his guardian angel, Lee once again took his jangle pop savvy back into the studio with his 2022 album “Eleven Eleven”, featuring eleven straight-from-the-heart anthems, chock full of catchy hooks and laced with evocative retro twelve string twang.

2024 brought the release of “Tickled Pink”, combining Lee’s signature jangle pop brand with amyriad of styles, culminating in a thrilling roller coaster ride for the ears. The album featured the lauded singles, “Look Pretty” and a version of the classic mega-hit, “Dizzy”. Still flying high from “Tickled Pink”, his 2025 album release “Love and amp; Rockets” has jettisoned his popularity to new heights. Sending heart into free fall, Lee Brovitz’s “Love and amp; Rockets” soars with eleven bonafide episodes that are propelling him to stardom. “Love and amp; Rockets” is out of this world!
